Android app OS Error: No address associated with hostname, errno = 7
-
When internet is interupted during any request to the server (loading a part / listing parts or volumes / refreshing / loading an image), any refresh, retry, or attempt to load anything will fail even if the internetconnection has connected at that time. This occurs on multiple devices.
An error message will be displayed:
Failed loading releases: No response received from server - SocketException: Failed host lookup: 'labs.j-novel.club' (OS Error: No address associated with hostname, errno = 7)
Device: Boox NoteAir3C, Fairphone 3, Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo.
OS: Android 12, Android 13, Android 6.0.1How to reproduce: Interupt internet connection without disabling the network interface and load anything in the app. An errormessage with retry button will be shown. Restore internet connection.
NOTE: if network interface is disabled, the error is still shown, but without the retry button. In this case the app works fine after reconnecting, even without force close.Expected result: pressing 'Retry', swiping down to reload or pressing back will load the page or load the parent page respectively.
Actual result: Error message remains until app is force closed.
