Still so frigging cute.
Though, you know, not just cute. This volume also deals with one thing that a lot of parents don't quite manage to get right - getting so stuck on how great you want your child to be you overlook the ways in which they're already great. It's one of the ways Dragon Daddy make me feel a little sad and guilty; I sure didn't get everything about my kid right.
But still, it's a book about parental love and parenting, and failing is a big part of being a parent. It's better to realize that than think you're perfect and it is the children who are wrong. So, yeah, lots of melancholy here, on account of not being perfect myself, but it's still first and foremost about loving and being loved, and that's great.

Both Dragon Daddy Diaries and The Faraway Paladin hasn't had a new volume translated in ages I feel, but the manga seems to be going strong for both.
Dragon Daddy novels are marked as complete here on JNC, so I don't think more volumes are coming.
